I think it’s about time the Democrats stopped hoping against hope that Donald Trump will not impede their takeover of the House of Representatives, and possibly the Senate, in the upcoming mid-term elections in November, and plan a detailed campaign to stop him.
It is blatantly obvious to anyone with one iota of intelligence that Trump will stop at nothing to ensure Republicans win both houses in November. AND, if he perceives those efforts to be failing, he will cancel the elections altogether on some trumped-up justification. If that results in civil unrest, he already has ICE in place to put down any uprising – more on that below.
All of Trump’s actions scream these intentions. He certainly has not been shy of stating exactly what he is planning, and the one thing we know for certain by now is that he fully intends to do what he says. It is, perhaps, the only thing about Trump that is predictable.
The motivations for this goal are clear: to continue issuing executive orders with no effective congressional backlash; to avoid being impeached and sent to jail; to continue to exploit his office’s power to enrich himself and his family (as a caveat here, I sometimes wonder how committed he is to even including his family in this effort to steal as much as he can. It seems, at times, just a money-grab for himself alone); and, lastly, he wants to join the world dictators’ club, if not to “rule the world” himself. It’s megalomania gone berserk, and from a man who is clearly senile/delusional and easily manipulated by his minions, who, in reality, are a far worse threat to American democracy than even he is.
I would hope that there is someone in the Democratic arena who is carefully planning to stop this very dangerous movement towards total dictatorship before it happens, because, happen it will, if he is not stopped. If you don’t believe that, you must be more delusional than he is, and that’s virtually impossible to imagine.
I would guess that the only reason he has not already publicly declared himself “President/dictator-for-life” is that Stephen Miller, among other minions, want to try and get him to that position without risking civil war – they are bright enough to know that civil war will have very unpredictable outcomes, which might include their bodies hanging from a gallows in front of the Capitol building.
ICE is clearly a ploy to set up a personal national police force, a la Gestapo, Stasi or KGB, to anticipate any reaction to his goals when they occur – immigration control is purely a smokescreen and being used as on-the-job training for the real event in November, if they are needed. Reaction, when it comes, will come from the cities, not the rural areas, and that is why ICE is concentrating on the major cities. Is that a conspiracy theory/paranoia? Certainly, but it’s also very high on a probability chart.
The proposed SAVE legislation is designed to rig the November election, and all future elections, if they are held at all. It is yet another strategy designed to try and avoid civil war. Not that Miller and company are against civil war, they just think it will be easier, and less dangerous for them, to dupe the American electorate into believing it is in their best interests to let Trump’s goals happen. If that doesn’t work, for whatever reason, civil war it is, and ICE will be ready by then.
Democrats surely have enough billionaires that someone amongst them can fund a carefully constructed plan to destroy Trump’s goals, hopefully before, but if not when, he plays his final dictatorial card. I can hope that the likes of Governor Pritzker of Illinois are not just making provocative anti-Trump statements, but is actually developing a plan – he has the position and the money to do it – but, as I have said before, hope is a stupid, naïve and useless emotion in a political environment.
No-one in Congress seems to be willing to become the “sacrificial lamb” who will stand up and be counted, even though many of them have the money. We need someone who is willing to put country before self, and that, unfortunately, is a very rare quality, particularly in the current atmosphere.
I REALISE THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DOOMSDAY PREDICTION BUT, PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES, THIS IS REAL, AS ANYONE WHO IS REMOTELY INTERESTED IN THE NEWS, OR THE FUTURE OF THE COUNTRY, ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTANDS. IS IT A CALL-TO-ARMS? CERTAINLY, AND WE ONLY HAVE EIGHT (8) MONTHS BEFORE THE INEVITABLE STARTS, IN NOVEMBER IF NOT BEFORE.
